triVibe is comprised of some of the Bay Area’s hottest players. The trio consists of Bill Hampton on guitar, Tony Stead on the keyboard and Joe DeRose on Drums.  triVibe’s music takes you on an instrumental journey from the past to present.
 
They play instrumental jazz/funk/pop and are sure to inspire your soul!
 
Guitarist Bill Hampton has been working in the Bay Area for 20 years plus.  He studied with Jazz Fusion Guitarist Peter Maunu as well as Jazz Trumpeter Randy Masters while attending UC Santa Cruz.  Bill teaches privately and also in seminar and group formats.  He has worked with Ledisi, Rosie Gaines, Gavin Christopher, Narda Michael Walden, Bill Champlin, Ray Chew, George Howard, Mary McGregor, Michelle Shocked, Braxton Brothers, Eric Marienthal, Tony Lindsay, Ben Margulies, and Gregory Porter, to name a few.  
In addition to touring, Bill has recorded for various album projects, as well as Radio and Television Commercials.
 
Currently, Bill continues to be in demand for recording sessions and as a sideman
 
Tony Stead Tony was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has deep roots in Funk, Bebop, Soul, R&B, Latin Jazz and Rock. The result is a playing style that soulfully reflects the SF Bay Area’s musical melting pot. Tony Stead is a sought after keyboardist, piano player, Hammond B-3 organist, vocalist, producer, and educator. His recent contributions include touring with Sly Stone from 2006-2009. He recorded and toured with Tommy Castro, recording several albums, earning six BMA’s and Band of the Year 2010.  He recorded and toured for many years with the Grammy nominated Gospel Hummingbirds. He has played multiple tours with Joe Louis Walker with a recent performance on Conan O’Brien Show, and recently toured with Darlene Love.
 
Joe DeRose Born in San Jose, California, Joe has been playing the drums since the age of 5. He was first taught at home by his older brother Gino. At the age of 12, he received a Scholarship to attend the Stanford Jazz workshop and than later became a member of the Alum Rock Jazz Band (1988). Joe began preforming professionally around the bay area shortly after. It was in 1994 that he was honored to receive a scholarship to attend the prestigious Berklee College of music which he graduated with a Bachelors in Performance, Magna Cum Laude. While living in Boston, Joe toured with Jazz, R&B, Blues diva, Toni Lynn Wahington and also recorded with Jazz vocalist, Robin McKell on her debut CD, “Never Let Me Go.” Some of the other artists that Joe has toured and recorded with since he has been back to the Bay Area are Yohimbe, Hip-Hop artist, Kofy Brown, Italian tenor, Pasquale Esposito, jazz-vocalist, Yoshiko Oda, The Hristo Vitchev Quartet and Joe DeRose and Amici.
 
Throughout the years Joe DeRose has appeared in some of the most prestigious jazz stages all around the world, including: Monterey Jazz Festival (Monterey, CA), Yoshi’s Jazz Club (Oakland, CA), Kuumbwa Jazz Center (Santa Cruz, CA), San Jose Jazz Summer Fest (San Jose, CA), Leopold Museum (Vienna, Austria), Okazaki Jazz Festival (Okazaki, Japan), Far Out Jazz Club, (Yokohama, Japan), Herbst Theater (San Francisco, CA), Montgomery Theater (San Jose, CA), Moods Jazz Club (Zurich, Switzerland), Flavors of Jazz Concert Series (San Jose, CA), Flint Center (Cupertino, CA), and many more.
